Third successive win for $9,000 yearling
Easy Day continued to look a colt to keep on the right side of when racking up his third successive win on Saturday.
Now the earner of over $100,000, the Daaher colt was purchased by Chad Schumer as agent for just $9,000 as a Keeneland September yearling.
Easy Day has yet to finish out of the first three in nine starts. He gained a deserved breakthrough in a Tampa Bay maiden earlier this year for Juan Arriagada and subsequently added an allowance at Delaware prior to Saturday’s win at the same track, in which he wore down the pacesetter Redeem Eddie to win on the wire. The pair were well clear of the third.
Easy Day was bred by Martha Pettigrew in Kentucky and is out of the placed Vicar mare Pepita.
