Successful week at Keeneland January Sale

January 17

A SUCCESSFUL week of trading at the Keeneland January Sale saw Schumer Bloodstock sign for 24 horses worth $764,500.

Purchases were headed by Cast Call, an A P Indy mare bought for $115,000 on behalf of a long-standing client – only on Friday, her pedigree received a good update when Overprepared, a half-sister to her dam Shadow Cast, won the Busanda Stakes at Aqueduct.

Schumer also signed at $85,000 for G3 Count Fleet Sprint Handicap winner Lemon Drop Dream, who is set to continue his career abroad.

Schumer Bloodstock will next be in action at the OBS January Sale in Ocala, Florida, and the Tattersalls February Sale in Newmarket, England.
