Spanish Steps sold to stand in Saudi Arabia

The son of Unbridled, who is a brother to leading sire Unbridled’s Song, stood the past season in Indiana.

Spanish Steps is the sire of 92 winners led by top turf performer Little Mike. The earner of over $3.1 million, Little Mike won last year’s Woodford Reserve Turf Classic (G1), Arlington Million (G1) and Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1), in which he defeated Point Of Entry and St Nicholas Abbey.

“With the recent sad passing of Classic sire Unbridled’s Song, we feel honored to have been able to secure his brother Spanish Steps, himself already proven as a Grade 1 sire,” said Chad Schumer. “We feel his progeny will be well suited to racing conditions in Saudi Arabia and look forward to watching the next stage of his career.”
