Six successive stakes win for Star Of The North

Star Of The North made it six in a row on Wednesday with another highly impressive stakes win, this time in the Frances A. Genter Stakes at Canterbury Park.

The win marked her fifth stakes victory in a row and brought her overall record to six wins from seven starts.

Trained by Francisco Bravo on behalf of breeder Michael Grossman, Star Of The North is the latest high-profile runner for her dam, Schumer Bloodstock purchase Always A Star. In addition, she is a daughter of Eureka’s resident stallion The Hunk, a stakes-winning son of Speightstown also purchased by Chad Schumer.

Always A Star, by Danehill, is also the dam of last year’s Bara Lass Stakes winner Always Inthe Munny and the stakes-placed Scatter A Star.

The Hunk, a stakes-winning son of Speightstown, stands at Eureka Thoroughbred Farm in Texas.

The Hunk: purchased by Schumer Bloodstock on behalf of Eureka Thoroughbred Farm and now sire of multiple stakes winner Star Of The North
