Maiden winner caps good week in Europe

3 winners in one week – victories by Troll Peninsula, Bringitonboris and My Purrfect Tale resulted in a good week for Schumer Bloodstock in Europe.

Particularly exciting is Troll Peninsula, who rewarded the patience of the Niarchos family and Newmarket trainer Roger Varian when striking on his second start at Redcar. By Karakontie, Troll Peninsula was bred by Lannister Holdings out of Perfect Step, a winning daughter of Iffraaj purchased by Chad Schumer for $31,000 at the 2015 Keeneland November Sale.

Perfect Step

Troll Peninsula was a $60,000 Keeneland November foal purchase by the Niarchos family’s Flaxman Holdings.

Perfect Step’s first foal, Cardini, was a 210,000gns yearling purchase by MV Magnier and went on to be Group 2-placed for Aidan O’Brien.

Perfect Step also has a two-year-old filly by Flintshire named Conventionalwisdom in training with Chad Brown.

Bringitonboris and My Perfect Tale were both purchased in conjunction with Irish breeze-up consignor Johnny Collins of Brown Island Stables.

Bringitonboris, a $35,000 son of Distorted Humor, was winning for the second time for Keith Dalgleish when scoring at Newcastle. He has not finished out of the first four in his past five starts.

Meanwhile in Sweden, My Purrfect Tale won not once but twice within the week at Bro Park. Still lightly raced, there could be a lot more to come from his son of Tale Of The Cat, who cost just $7,000.
