Impressive debut win for $7,500 yearling

Swift Tap lived up to his billing at Monmouth Park on Sunday with an impressive debut win for Jerry Hollendorfer.

The son of Tapiture was purchased by Michael Feriole and Chad Schumer as a Keeneland September yearling for just $7,500 as a pinhook prospect. He went on to resell to his trainer for $100,000 as an OBS April Two-year-old out of the Tradewinds Farm draft.

Swift Tap was bred by Coffee Pot Stables out of the Harlan’s Holiday mare Ruby Dusk, a winning granddaughter of Grade 1 winner Summer Colony.
