G2 winner Bern Identity sold to stand in Jamaica
Sanford Stakes (G2) winner Bern Identity has been retired to stand at PJK Team Jamaica in a deal brokered by Chad Schumer Bloodstock and Bradley Thoroughbreds Brokerage.
A high-class two-year-old, Bern Identity won the Sanford Stakes (G2) at Saratoga in his third start at two and later captured the Jean Laffitte Stakes at Delta Downs by three lengths.
He was also a triple stakes-winning sprinter at three who swept the My Frenchman Stakes, Tale Of The Cat Stakes and Dave’s Friend Stakes.
A top three finisher in 12 of his 13 starts for trainer Kelly Breen, he also ran second in the Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes (G3) and Fabulous Strike Handicap and third in the Hopeful Stakes (G2) and Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Stakes (G3).
In all, he won six races for earnings of $877,200.
A son of leading sire Bernstein, Bern Identity is a half-brother to Champion Agresivo and out of the Grade 1-placed Maddalena, also winner of the Old Hat Stakes (G3).
