From $20,000 to £260,000 – big result at Arqana

Our breeze-up season in Europe with Church Farm and Horse Park Stud continued in excellent style on Friday with the sale of a Distorted Humor colt for £260,000 to Peter and Ross Doyle at the relocated Arqana May Sale in Doncaster.

Despite being a half-brother to two G1 horses – Silentio and No Name – Chad was able to pick him up privately for $20,000 after he failed to sell for $25,000 as a Keeneland September yearling. He is out of the A.P. Indy mare Listen A P.

Prepped to perfection by John Cullinan and Roger Marley, the colt turned a mighty profit and is now set to continue his career in Norway for Stall Perlan with Wido Neuroth.

“The owner wants to win the Swedish Derby and this colt will be trained in Oslo by Norway’s champion trainer Wido Neuroth,” Peter Doyle told the TDN.
