French import Asperites wins second US start; bought for €15,000

Asperites was always prominent in the hands of Robby Albarado and drew off to win the 12-horse affair easily by three lengths. The daughter of Danehill Dancer, who is out of the Listed-winning Darshaan mare Olimpic Girl, now boasts three wins and nearly $75,000 in earnings.


Schumer Bloodstock will next be in action in Europe at the Tattersalls July Sale (July 7 – 10) in Newmarket.

Asperites is one of nine fillies or mares bought out of Europe by Schumer Bloodstock since 2013. Others include:

GHUSOON; a half-sister to the unbeaten Epsom Derby hopeful Zawraq; bought for 7,500gns

CALL ME MARILYN; a half-sister to recent G1 winner Ball Dancing; a private purchase in 2013


SHY ROSA; daughter of Dixie Union (pictured left with Chad) went on to win at Keeneland and Churchill Downs and turned over approximately $100,000 for her new connections; bought for 10,000gns


MEET MARHABA; purchased for 11,000gns in December 2013, this daughter of Marju was resold the following July for 35,000gns
