Fast Munny victorious over Ziconic in Santa Anita unveiling

Fast Munny, a $95,000 Barretts March Two-year-olds in Training purchase by Crane Thoroughbreds, stalked the pace under Flavien Prat before making his move between horses entering the stretch. After gaining the advantage, the Craig Dollase-trained colt drew away for a length-and-a-quarter success over Dalmore. Ziconic was another three-quarters of a length away in third.

The son of Munnings is the sixth foal out of Killoe, who was purchased by Chad Schumer, as agent for Big Sugar Racing LLC, while in foal to Desert Party at the 2012 Keeneland January Sale. The resulting foal, Killer Party, is also a winner.

Killoe is a Kris S daughter of G3 winner Seewillo and a half-sister to the G3-placed Perfect Copy and Stealin’ Kisses. It is also the immediate family of G1 Arlington Million hero Golden Pheasant.

Also on Saturday at Santa Anita, G1 winner Stormy Lucy turned in another great performance to run a fast-finishing second to Paulina’s Love in the G2 Buena Vista Stakes.

Now the earner of approximately $850,000, Stormy Lucy is out of Here Comes Lucinda (pictured left), purchased by Chad Schumer as agent for $32,000 at the 2011 Keeneland November Sale.
