Trained by John Shirreffs, Neko Bay won five races in the colours of Mr and Mrs Jerome S. Moss led by the 2010 San Pasqual Handicap (G2) at Santa Anita Park. He was also beaten only a neck when second to Misremembered in the 2010 Santa Anita Handicap (G1) at Santa Anita Park and ran placed in the Tokyo City Handicap (G3) and Native Diver Handicap (G3).
By leading sire of sires Giant’s Causeway, Neko Bay is out of Grade 2 winner Brulay, a Rubiano half-sister to champion and successful sire Lemon Drop Kid. As a descendant of Weekend Surprise, he is also related to champion sire A P Indy.
“By one of the best sire of sires around today in Giant’s Causeway,” said Chad Schumer, “and from perhaps the leading stallion producing family in the US at the moment, Neko Bay is a fantastic prospect and is now available to Louisiana breeders for the first time.”
