Recent purchase Agatha gained a hefty update on Wednesday when her Candy Ride colt made $700,000 to St. Elias, Repole Stables and J.J. Crupi during day three of the Keeneland September Sale.

Agatha, a Distorted Humor half-sister to the top sprinter Agnes World and dam of the Group 1 milers Dubai Destination and Librettist, was purchased by Chad Schumer as agent for just $45,000 while in foal to Liam’s Map at this year’s Keeneland January Sale.

The colt is a half-brother to three winners including Salt Bae, who provided her own update to the pedigree earlier in the year when second in the Purple Martin Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

Agatha’s Candy Ride colt will be trained by Todd Pletcher and we wish his new connections the best of luck.
