$7,000 yearling Nancy Ride dominates MSW
NANCY Ride, a $7,000 yearling, is set for a major rise in class after overwhelming the field in her third start, a MSW at Ellis Park on Saturday.
In the words of the TDN, Nancy Ride was six wide turning for home ‘and came with a furious rally in the stretch to collar the leader…and kept on rolling clear to win by 4 1/2 lengths’.
In the end, Nancy Ride, owned by Chad Schumer and trained by Brendan Walsh, wasn’t pressed to score by a widening margin.
Nancy Ride was catalogued to Book 2 of the 2013 Keeneland September Sale, where she was bought by Chad Schumer for $7,000.
A daughter of leading sire Candy Ride, she is the third foal out of stakes winner Dinner At Arlene’s, a Forestry half-sister to G1 winner Link River.
It is the further family of Exchange Rate.
